Designing Visual Stories That Capture Millions of Views

Turning breaking stories into visuals people can't ignore.

African Diaspora News Channel reaches a global audience through timely coverage of African affairs, politics, and current events. In a fast-moving news environment where first impressions matter, every thumbnail plays a critical role in whether a story gets noticed. As Senior Graphic Designer, I create high-performing visual assets for YouTube and social media, combining editorial storytelling, audience psychology, and data-driven design principles to maximise engagement. My work spans concept development, creative direction, A/B testing, and campaign design, helping the channel communicate complex stories through compelling visual narratives.

Designing for Attention in a Fast-Moving World

Working in digital news reinforced an important principle: great design isn't just about aesthetics—it's about communication. Every thumbnail, campaign, and visual asset had one purpose: to help audiences quickly understand why a story mattered. By combining creative intuition with performance data, I focused on producing designs that not only captured attention but also encouraged meaningful engagement across highly competitive digital platforms.
